Angeldust Painter – Turn Pictures into In-Game Builds!

Want to turn your favourite pictures into Angeldust builds? This tool converts images into blocks using the game's colour palette. You can also edit the result or use manual pixel art mode to keep track of the blocks you have placed!

Platform Requirement: A desktop browser is recommended (Windows, macOS and Linux). The tool runs directly in your browser, and images are not uploaded.

OPEN ANGELDUST PAINTER

How to Use

  1. Open the Tool: Open the Angeldust Painter page in your browser.
  2. Load an Image: Click Choose File and select the picture you want to convert.
  3. Choose a Block: Under Block, type to search for a block or select one from the suggestions. White_marble is selected by default.
  4. Set the Size: The tool automatically tries to detect pixel grids in your image.
    • If Follow detected pixel grid is enabled, the tool automatically calculates the size.
    • If no pixel grid is detected, you can manually change Width in blocks.
    • You can also disable automatic grid detection to choose your own width.
  5. Background: Enable Make transparent if you want to remove the background. Click the background colour in the Original preview to select it. Use Tolerance to adjust how much of that colour is removed.
  6. Colours: You can customize the conversion with these settings:
    • Brightness importance: Lower values preserve more of the original colours, while higher values emphasize light and dark areas.
    • Max colours: Limits how many different palette colours are used.
    • Dithering: Adds patterns to simulate additional shades. There are several algorithms available. Adjust Strength to control the effect.
  7. Placement: Set the X and Y coordinates under Placement (bottom left claim) to choose where your build will appear in the game.

The Original and In game previews let you compare the original picture with the converted result.
